This is hilarious! And insightful. I had no idea so many celebs were Filipino. Lou Diamond Phillips?! One of the greats.
Funny side note: I worked with a bunch of Filipinos during my first job at Andersen Consulting / Accenture. The company had an office in Manila for offshore IT support. The Manila staff would come to the States for a year-long rotation. I'm still friends with several of the people I met. Considering you're in IT and similar in age, in another life we might've met in person! :D
I have a cousin who is working at Accenture! We Flips get around. I'm going to the Philippines next week in fact to see family including my last living grandparent and finally do some touristy things that I never got to do. I figure it'll be the only chance for my kids to meet their great grand-Lola as she is nearing 100yo like my other Lola almost got to.
Hey there is still a chance for us to have an Epic Medium meetup, so let's not rule that out :D
